Co-Founder and Managing Partner: Parmelee, Poirier & Associates LLP, Warwick RI

PP&A is a full service firm offering a range of accounting, auditing, income tax planning, tax preparation, financial planning, and third-party consulting services for businesses and individuals. Additionally the firm performs audits and consulting services for municipal and state governments, school departments and private industry.

Responsibilities within the firm include:

- New business development

- Resolution of clients’ business and accounting issues

- Performance of executive administrative responsibilities and staff management
  responsibilities as required

- Serve as Partner-In-Charge for select client engagements

1987 - 2003

Founder: Bernard A. Poirier & Company, Certified Public Accountants.

Accounting services include audits, reviews, compilations, tax planning and preparation, and financial management and consulting. Clients include profit and Not-for-Profit organizations in commercial and government sectors.

Responsibilities within the firm include:

- Office management and administrations

- Preparation of financial statements

- Tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses

- Design and installation of accounting systems (computerized and manual) for
  commercial clients

- Personal financial management and consulting

Areas of specialty:

- Annual audits, reviews, and design of systems to address changing requirements for
  HUD-regulated housing projects. 

1986 - 1987

General Manager: Foxhollow Resort, Lenox MA. Replaced owner during temporary absence.

Duties included:

- Oversight of 40 condominium units under construction

- Management of an additional 40 occupied units

- Management of 74 Timeshare units

- Management of 50-room hotel/spa

1984-1986

Senior Manager: Ronald H. Nani & Company, Cranston RI

Duties included:

- Client management

- Scheduling of client services

- Management of office staff

Accomplishments included: design and installation of a computerized accounting system for seven related timeshare companies

1980-1984

Supervising Senior: Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company, Certified Public Accountants

Engagements included:

- Designation as computer audit specialist

- Designation as governmental audit specialist

- Designation as Senior Accountant for design and installation of procedures to
  implement computerized cost allocation system conforming to OMB Circular A-112 at
  the University of Rhode Island, Kingston.

- Designation as Senior Accountant for design and installation of audit in 1982 and 1983

- Participation in East Greenwich Town and School Department annual audits

- Participation in Chariho School District annual audit

- Participation in City of Newport annual audit
