- Responsible for accounting, costing, credit, tax and financial statement reporting

- Upgraded and enhanced entire computer accounting system

- Established and implemented procedures and internal controls in all business areas

- Successfully negotiated increase of company credit limit from $500k to $3 million

- Developed and implemented highly successful accounts receivable collection

Planned, directed and managed operations and finance for a contract carriage transport and distribution firm generating $6 million in annual revenues.

Responsibilities included:

- Administration of accounting functions including budget and cost accounting

- Credit and financial statement reporting

- Control of inventory and supplies purchasing

- Coordination of execution of special projects and reports

- Facilitation of year-end audits

- Direct supervision of 8 support staff

- Direct supervision of 60 drivers and a support team of mechanics operating and

  maintaining a fleet of 150+ vehicles

1980 - 1988

Controller/Operations Manager: Fashion House Inc./Imagine Inc., Pawtucket RI

Managed and directed the subcontracted manufacture, import, and distribution of sportswear to over 200 retailers nationwide.

Responsibilities included:

- Preparation of annual company budgets and business plans for $200 million parent

  company and $20 million subsidiary

- Interaction with domestic and international banks in matters of credit and collection

- Serve as company liaison for sales/marketing departments, retailers, manufacturers

  and suppliers

- Serve as contact person for agents, custom officials, brokers, distribution

  warehouses and transportation companies

- Direct supervision of 35 employees, ensuring compliance with the highest quality

  performance standards
